Georgia Tech Alumni Association Wins Three CASE III Grand Awards

We’re proud to say that the Georgia Tech Alumni Association won three awards at the 2013 CASE District III conference, held earlier this week in Atlanta.

— The Alumni Magazine won the Grand Award, the conference’s top prize, in the category of Magazine/Tabloid Improvement for our size category, a great recognition of our recent redesign. (Here’s magazine editor Van Jensen digging deep into the magazine redesign process last year.)
“Up The Hill,” assistant editor Rachael Maddux’s November 2012 story on Tech alum David Young’s efforts to clean up a historic cemetery in Chattanooga, Tenn., won the Grand Award for Feature Writing.
— And the GTAA’s Events department was honored with a Grand Award in the category of Special Event for their communications and marketing efforts to promote the 2012 Dean George C. Griffin Pi Mile 5K Road Race. (And hey, it’s not too late to join the 2013 race—here’s more info.)

We’re so grateful for the CASE III judges for the recognition, and to the Tech alumni who inspire and render our work worthwhile. Thank you!
